Sustainable Food Systems
Each Urban Food Farm is a complete vegetable growing solution that is simple and affordable. Anyone can successfully grow organic vegetables year round with minimal labor and space usage. The food farms come as kits that include everything, even the seeds. Once installed, they are easy to operate and only require 2 half hour visits per week.
Using proven growing techniques, the Urban Food Farms are 6 times more efficient than the same space planted on the ground. The growing conditions allow plants to produce year round. The coco coir soil-less growing medium increase the water retention by 8 and the oxygen available to roots by 1000. Plants in the food farm grow rapidly and deliver optimum production. In Southern California the system grows tomatoes in the winter without the use of electricity.
